Jaguar Land Rover will only make electric or hybrid vehicles starting in 2020     British luxury automaker  Jaguar Land Rover  is the latest company pledging to stop production of internal combustion cars. The company has promised that all new models beginning in 2020 will be either fully electric or gas/electric  hybrid . This is a rather big move considering  Jaguar announced  their first electric concept car back in November of 2016. The decision comes two months after Volvo decided to pursue a similar goal. According to a United Kingdom study, average CO2 emissions from Jaguar Land Rover vehicles were 164g per kilometer. This is well above the UK average of 121.4g and higher than the legally required 95g limit that manufacturers must meet by 2021. GST Cess: All Land Rover SUVs Get Price Hikes All Land Rover and Range Rover SUVs have seen an increase in prices due to the additional cess that has been levied by the GST council. Where the original tax bracket for SUVs longer than the 4-metre length was 43 per cent - 28 per cent GST and 15 per cent cess, the new GST rates are 50 per cent - 28 per cent GST plus 22 per cent cess. Land Rover is possibly one of the most affected brands when it comes to the new GST cess rates in India. Considering the fact that all Land Rover vehicles are large SUVS that are longer than the 4-metre length requirement that is needed for a lower cess bracket, every single SUV has received a price hike.
