Apple admits its new Apple Watch Series 3 with cellular connectivity has a big problem    Apple Inc's on Wednesday conceded its latest smartwatch unveiled a week ago has problems with its most important feature: the ability make phone calls and access data without an iPhone nearby.  Several prominent reviewers said Wednesday they could not recommend the device because of a wifi glitch that causes cellular connectivity problems.   The Watch Series 3 starts at $399 and was launched alongside new iPhone models. Unlike previous versions of the watch, it has cellular  fee. Apart from connection issues, some reviewers were disappointed with the drain on the watch's battery while making calls. Apple had touted up to 18 hours of battery life but said the watch would get only one hour on a cellular phone call.  Gene Munster, a longtime Apple analyst with Loup Ventures, doubted issues with the Series 3 Watch would hurt Apple's bottom line....

iPhone X, iPhone 8 support fast charging only if you buy special charger, cable for over Rs 6500              Of late, Apple products have become famous - or rather the word has to be infamous - for holding back functionality. To get whatever functionality that is fairly standard in other competing products, Apple users have to shell out more money. It seems that this is going to be the case for fast charging too. Apple introduced fast charging in the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X when it announced the three phones on September 12. However, what the company tucked away in the finer details was the fact this fast charging feature would be only available to users if they were willing to spend around Rs 6500 extra on a special charger and cable because Apple wouldn't bundle fast charger and relevant cable in the box of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. To use fast charging in the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or the iPhone X, u...

Apple iPhone X Features already in Other smartphones

Image
Apple iPhone X: These six features were already there on other smartphones Apple has announced the iPhone X, pitched as “the future of the smartphone”. While the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are marginal improvements over their predecessors, the iPhone X takes a giant leap both in terms of design and the technology it offers. Apple is also asking a lot of money to get the iPhone X, which starts at Rs 89,000 for the base version and goes up to Rs 102,000 for the top-end model. The iPhone X is Apple’s most distinctive smartphone I’ve seen personally. Yes, it is a sophisticated piece of engineering, but the latest – iPhone X – is far from being called a revolutionary device. Rather, I’d say the iPhone X brings in more of an evolution. The truth is, you can already find many of these features on a number of smartphones – both from the current-generation lot, and some even from the bygone era. I’ve made a list of six such features that have existed f...

GALAXY S9: SAMSUNG’S FIRST 2018 FLAGSHIP WILL MEET THE IPHONE X HEAD-ON, IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE The smartphone race continues to heat up with the recent reveal of Apple’s latest flagship, the iPhone X. The device, which has been rumored and leaked for months, is a powerhouse, outgunning the best of its rivals’ lineup in terms of raw processing power. To close the gap, Samsung seems to be betting its cards on its next champion, the Galaxy S9, which is expected to be unveiled sometime early next year. The Galaxy S9 will be the latest in Samsung’s long line of formidable S-series smartphones, and the rumors surrounding the device are pretty compelling. Design-wise, there is a good chance that the Galaxy S9 will follow the template set by its predecessor, the Galaxy S8, with a few modifications. The S8 featured extremely thin bezels on the top and bottom of the device, but such a design was overtaken by Apple with the iPhone X, which featured no bezels at all, save ...
