Samsung’s Galaxy X might feature a pressure sensitive display

Samsung's Galaxy X Might Feature Pressure Sensitive Display? Rumours of Samsung’s foldable smartphone (Galaxy X) are doing rounds for quite sometime now. But now a new patent from Samsung reveals new information about the alleged smartphone. The upcoming smartphone will be made using a flexible material which will enable the phone to bend when force is applied. The patent suggests that the pressure applied on the display will also have a pressure sensitive display to determine the force is applied on the screen. The feature was first seen on Apple’s iPhone 6s dubbed as the 3D Touch.       Earlier, a patent from Samsung was spotted by LetsGoDigital. The patent shows a device that looks like a thinner version of the ZTE Axon M. It suggests a smartphone features a hinge that connects the two screens using a hinge that also allows the phone to be closed. Unlike the Axon M, Samsung’s attempt offers a screen protection even when the display is clo...

iPhone X, iPhone 8 support fast charging only if you buy special charger, cable for over Rs 6500

iPhone X, iPhone 8 support fast charging only if you buy special charger, cable for over Rs 6500              Of late, Apple products have become famous - or rather the word has to be infamous - for holding back functionality. To get whatever functionality that is fairly standard in other competing products, Apple users have to shell out more money. It seems that this is going to be the case for fast charging too. Apple introduced fast charging in the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X when it announced the three phones on September 12. However, what the company tucked away in the finer details was the fact this fast charging feature would be only available to users if they were willing to spend around Rs 6500 extra on a special charger and cable because Apple wouldn't bundle fast charger and relevant cable in the box of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. To use fast charging in the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or the iPhone X, u...

Apple iPhone X Features already in Other smartphones

Image
Apple iPhone X: These six features were already there on other smartphones Apple has announced the iPhone X, pitched as “the future of the smartphone”. While the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are marginal improvements over their predecessors, the iPhone X takes a giant leap both in terms of design and the technology it offers. Apple is also asking a lot of money to get the iPhone X, which starts at Rs 89,000 for the base version and goes up to Rs 102,000 for the top-end model. The iPhone X is Apple’s most distinctive smartphone I’ve seen personally. Yes, it is a sophisticated piece of engineering, but the latest – iPhone X – is far from being called a revolutionary device. Rather, I’d say the iPhone X brings in more of an evolution. The truth is, you can already find many of these features on a number of smartphones – both from the current-generation lot, and some even from the bygone era. I’ve made a list of six such features that have existed f...

GALAXY S9: SAMSUNG’S FIRST 2018 FLAGSHIP WILL MEET THE IPHONE X HEAD-ON, IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE The smartphone race continues to heat up with the recent reveal of Apple’s latest flagship, the iPhone X. The device, which has been rumored and leaked for months, is a powerhouse, outgunning the best of its rivals’ lineup in terms of raw processing power. To close the gap, Samsung seems to be betting its cards on its next champion, the Galaxy S9, which is expected to be unveiled sometime early next year. The Galaxy S9 will be the latest in Samsung’s long line of formidable S-series smartphones, and the rumors surrounding the device are pretty compelling. Design-wise, there is a good chance that the Galaxy S9 will follow the template set by its predecessor, the Galaxy S8, with a few modifications. The S8 featured extremely thin bezels on the top and bottom of the device, but such a design was overtaken by Apple with the iPhone X, which featured no bezels at all, save ...

Apple iPhone X announced by Tim Cook is the perfect tribute to Steve Jobs' legacy

Image
Apple iPhone X announced by Tim Cook is the perfect tribute to Steve Jobs' legacy On the 12th of September, 2017,  Apple showcased , yet again, how deeply entrenched Steve Jobs’ philosophies still are within the company’s DNA. The event started with a lengthy quote in Steve Jobs’ voice, followed by an emotional homage from Tim Cook. He even shed a tear while he said, “[Steve Jobs’] greatest gift, his greatest expression of his appreciation for humanity would not be a single product. Rather it would be Apple itself. We dedicate this theatre to Steve because we loved him, and because he loved days like this, where he could share his new products with the world.” Steve Jobs had once famously said in 1996, “Picasso had a saying — ‘ good artists copy; great artists steal ’ — and we have always been shameless about stealing great ideas." And steal they did. If I were to ask you to name 3 most differentiating features of an iPhone, what would you list? I’m sure they will i...

Apple iPhone X vs Samsung Galaxy Note 8: Price does matter! Apple and Samsung are considered to be sworn enemies in the smartphone world. Both the companies give a head-on-head competition to each other in all the possible ways. Each of them has a strong lineup of devices that offer a ruthless competition to the other. And this year also, the rivalry continues with Apple’s latest iPhone X and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8. Both the devices represent the best of both worlds. The Galaxy Note 8 has all the arsenal to become one of the best Android smartphones in Samsung’s history, while the iPhone X is undoubtedly the best iPhone Apple ever made. Both the smartphones come loaded with an ultra-premium price tag and sports some powerful internals along with some top-of-the-line design. But, which one of them is better?
